Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.

ONE OF OUR GREATEST JOYS...

IS WATCHING THE LOVE OF A MOM AND DAD FOR THEIR NEW CHILD...

in this case, friends made dear by the bonds of adoption. We had such fun together on the Riverwalk, laughing and juggling sweaty babies together .

..And reveling in the magic of the families God formed, having waited and watched together this past year as the beauty unfolded.

and just like the hot of the day we experienced together, and the chaos of eating "happily" with 8 kids in tow , it wasn't all easy...in fact, it was hard and tedious and scary...

but the rewards caught in these pictures of Micah and mom and dad are all the words needed...she is a treasure. As her name meaning implies...a gift from God.

she sparkles

and is graced to have one of the neatest moms and dads and sissies ever...we're so glad you are here Micah!

and Micah's sister , Sarah, was incredible!... and quickly found her way to our girl's and our hearts.

WE LOVE YOU GIRLS!

and also, more coming from our week long trip to Houston to the IFS central office, and a couple of days in San Antone....

i did two posts in one day, WOW. and i am lovin'...

wide eyes and leaps of learning...doctorin' her baby with those exquisite little hands...

two love bugs with the same expression...

quynh is getting all caught up on her immunizations...which we chose to do in little bittie increments due to her underlying condition and overall safety.

so, she is used to a couple of shots a week, and it's so commonplace to her now that she rolls up her sleeve herself and sticks her arm out with a face brave as stone. sometimes she whispers "ouch"

here's to big sister practicing on baby (whom we must name)

perhaps a little "injecting" someone else is in order...

i do think this is the ugliest doll in the house...but q loves her and doctors her well. major bed head and all...
Kimi's cute pink pinkies...
serious consultation.

would you argue with this?

caught with the bathtub confetti. wwaaayyyy lookin caught...

just pure sweetness

and the latest is out. quynh's personalized airbrushed adaptive shoe. could it be any more incredible??

GIVE US A 15 PASSENGER VAN, SOME JERKY, AND FIREWORKS, AND WE CAN BE THE REDNECK FAMILY...JUST FINE...

and it helped that we couldn't make the ballgame on time, so we switched gears and went for pizza and home for lawn chairs (hey, we had the van, what did we need the lawn chairs for anyway?)

and then on way back, ...we hit the police blockade as car number "two"-- to park nearest the actual "fire works set off spot", giving us about 50 yards between us and them.

and that led to a fascinating, beautiful, oh so loud celebration right in front of us. memorable...for sure!!

LOVELY...

WE DO FEED THEM.

miss q loved all the action ...and wanted to hop the fence to explore the field beyond...we said "no" and she well...had a fit.

YEP, WE CALL OUR BUS O LUV THE" COMBIE"...MADE POPULAR BY EVERY OTHER CULTURE'S NICKNAME OF THE "COMBINED USE VEHICLE".

AND FOR THIS FAMILY IT'S JUST THAT , FROM EATIN' AND SLEEPIN' PROVISIONS, TO HAULING COLLEGE KIDS CROSS COUNTRY, TO THE BEST SEAT FOR FIREWORKS.

IT WAS ALL AMAZING!

BUT STILL THINK THE JERKY TOP THE" COMBIE" WAS THE BEST PART...
